Two injured in crash related to police pursuit

SHORELINE — A man and woman from Snohomish County were in critical condition Wednesday after they were in a car wreck related to a police pursuit in Shoreline the night before.
The man, 19, of Everett, and the woman, 24, of Lynnwood were in a 1999 BMW that was pulled over in Shoreline on Tuesday night.
The police officer learned that the woman had felony warrants for her arrest and went back to the car to make an arrest. That’s when the car sped off, King County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said. The chase was called off when the officer lost sight of the car.
The car was later found crashed into a tree in Shoreline. The man and woman were taken to a Seattle hospital. Both had serious injuries from the wreck.
