Bush’s claim requires closer look

How can President Bush say that the manufacturing jobs are up? I just read the fine print of the “Economic Report of the President,” issued in February … they reclassified fast-food workers of Subway, McDonald’s, Burger King and alike from the service economy to manufacturing.

Now they can say with a straight face that manufacturing jobs are up by hundreds of thousands. Since my minimum wage job is now classified as manufacturing, when do I start getting the pay that the true manufacturing workers get? In my area, that would be at least double what I have been getting.

Just looking for the truth.
