Toyer perfect counter to Dunshee

While The Herald Editorial Board has again endorsed professional politician Hans Dunshee for another term in the State House of Representatives, it is clearly a irresponsible decision. Hans Dunshee has spent 20 years as a professional politician in Olympia and no longer understands working across the aisle between parties, finding solutions to issues, but instead only causes strife and animosity with his peers. He exclaims that the Legislature needs to raise taxes, create a state income tax and take more money from the wallets of hard-working Washingtonians so he can continue to waste the money and payoff the groups that donate to his campaign.

Hans Dunshee also called the people he represents, “isolated, ignorant, and lower income” during the redistricting process. If he is willing to say that about the people of the 44th District, imagine how he negotiates with individuals in Olympia, is this how a Legislator should behave?

It is time for fiscal responsibility in Olympia and Rob Toyer is the right person for the job. Rob Toyer is a veteran, who lives a life of honor and respect to others. Rob Toyer is a financial manager who works daily with hard-working families on achieving their American dream. Rob Toyer is a Marysville City Councilmember, whose municipal fiscal experience has him prepared for the unique and difficult financial negotiations of the Legislature. The upcoming legislative session will require problem-solvers, responsible legislators willing to work with each other, and new, inventive ideas to meet the obligations of the McCleary decision on funding public education.

Rob Toyer is responsible choice for state representative and is deserving of our vote.
