Water equipment a waste

I am writing to ask one question: Where do our priorities lie? If you happen to be one of the many pleasure craft owners in this county and use the Snohomish River launch or the Everett Marina, you have no doubt seen our men in blue patrolling the water way. Have you asked yourself, like I have, just what are they doing? And maybe you wonder who is paying for the new, hard-bottom inflatable boat with trailer, the two new jet skis with trailer, the 25-foot aluminum boat with moorage and don’t forget the new marina operations unit located at the north marina parking lot.

Is our safety being so jeopardized that we need these wake-busters at this ridiculous expense? Couldn’t we use this money to better our community in more productive ways, such as supporting the DARE program, which has been canceled at my daughter’s school due to lack of funding? Where do our priorities lie?
