AquaSox bats erupt in 11-1 win over Vancouver

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Mariners’ first round pick George Kirby dazzled yet again for the Everett AquaSox in an 11-1 victory over the Vancouver Canadians on Saturday at Nat Bailey Stadium. Kirby went three strong innings, allowing two hits while striking out six.
Every member of the starting lineup got a hit for the AquaSox, and the team had 18 hits in the game.
Carter Bins led the way offensively, collecting two hits, four RBI and two runs scored, including a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Utah Jones also added three hits, two RBI and two runs scored, while Cesar Izturis Jr. contributed thre more hits and four RBI.
Trevor Schweke hit a solo home run in the sixth inning off Matt Martin for Vancouver’s only run in the game.
