Northwest District 1 4A Championships, prelims: Max Hinrickson of Lake Stevens swam state-qualifying times in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events, and teammate Dan Stone swam the fastest times in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, qualifying them for Saturday’s finals. Everett’s Kyle Fankhauser, Alex MacMillan and David Pedack of Snohomish, and David Swoish from Oak Harbor also qualified for the final heat in two individual events.
