Brutal loss for Huskies

Washington never recovered from USC’s big run in the second half to lose 73-59. That makes the Huskies 0 for 3 on this four-game home stand that looked like their chance to get back into the Pac-10 race.
It won’t get any easier as the Huskies host No. 5 UCLA Sunday.
USC freshman O.J. Mayo, who scored 20 points in the first half, finished with 29 to lead all scorers. Jon Brockman had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Huskies.
