Cooper wins Car Club Challenge at Pacific Raceways

KENT, Wash. — No matter who won, the Ford Drag Team was assured of coming out on top.
In the finals of an evening of drag racing, Jason Cooper of Arlington, Wash., defeated fellow Ford Drag Team member Dave Carman of Marysville, Wash., in the Car Club Challenge Friday, Aug. 8 at Pacific Raceways.
After some fierce competition among several car clubs in the early rounds, the quarterfinals came down to a battle between the Ford Drag Team and the Pacific N.W. Camaro Club. At the end of the quarters the Ford team was all the was left.
Cooper and Carman prevailed in the semifinals over teammates Kent Magruder of Snohomish, Wash., and Paul Huston of Yelm, Wash.
