Dale Hunt reassigned

I figured this deserved its own post rather than burying it on tonight’s live blog. It was announced during the radio broadcast that right wing Dale Hunt was reassigned to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. No team was specified.

The 19-year-old Hunt had seen his playing time diminish as the season went along, and in recent games he was a healthy scratch. The third-overall pick in the 2005 bantam draft had one goal and two assists in 35 games with Everett this season.

Hunt was acquired from Prince George last season in exchange for defenseman Jeff Regier. Both of those players are now out of the league.

The Tips also reassigned a player on Tuesday as call-up defenseman Paul Bonar was returned to the Swan Valley Stampeders of the MJHL. Bonar did not score in two games with the Tips. His presence was no longer needed with Radko Gudas and Ryan Murray returning from international duty.

That leaves 23 players on Everett’s roster: 13 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
