End of One

The first quarter is thankfully over and could not have gone worse for Washington. The Huskies have no first downs and minus-4 yards of offense, while UCLA has 146 yards, including 109 on the ground. The tacklin has been pretty poor, and the play by the offensive line has been a disaster. Coaches thought they’d be better able to handle UCLA’s defensive front than Fresno’s but that clearly isn’t the case.
The Huskies have got to find some way to sustain a drive and have to get UCLA off the field by tackling better.
The crowd has been kind of disappointing, although there hasn’t been a lot to make noise about, so it’s understandable.
