Alex Schmidt (Kamiak) had two hits as the Huskies scored five runs in the fifth inning to pull ahead of the Beavers and help UW knot the series at 1.
MSU-Billings 2-5, Saint Martin’s 1-0
Blake Lord (Lynnwood) drove in the Saints’ lone run in the first game, and Torin Dooley (Meadowdale) took the loss in the seven-inning nightcap. Dooley (5IP, 6H, 3R, 3ER, 2BB, 2K) fell to 3-5.
Michael Agate (South Whidbey) started in left field for Saint Martin’s in Game 2.
Lewis-Clark State 14, Central Washington 2
Max Whitt (Granite Falls, Everett Community College) went 2-for-6 with a three-run homer as the Warriors routed the Wildcats in Ellensburg. It’s the 14th home run of the season for Whitt.
