First round, non-elimination

Monroe 1, Mountlake Terrace 0 (OT)

EDMONDS — Sixth-seeded Monroe scored a golden goal just one minute into overtime to beat No. 3 Mountlake Terrace in the non-elimination opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Monroe advanced to face No. 2 Shorewood in the winner-to-state semifinals on Tuesday.

Mountlake Terrace will face the loser of No. 7 Arlington in a loser-out consolation game on Tuesday.

Shorecrest 5, Everett 0

SHORELINE — Tayvi Khan, Ava Jensen, Nora Patterson, Emma Orthel and Giulia Menning each scores as top-seeded Shorecrest beat No. 9 Everett in the non-elimination opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Tati Zahajko earned the shutout in goal for Shorecrest, which advanced to the winner-to-state semifinals to face No. 4 Oak Harbor on Tuesday.

Everett dropped into the consolation bracket and will face No. 5 Snohomish in a loser-out game on Tuesday.

Oak Harbor 3, Snohomish 2

OAK HARBOR — Fourth-seeded Oak Harbor beat No. 5 Snohomish in the non-elimination opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Oak Harbor advanced to face top-seeded Shorecrest in the winner-to-state semifinals on Tuesday.

Snohomish dropped to the consolation bracket and will face No. 9 Everett in a loser-out game on Tuesday.

Shorewood 2, Arlington 1

SHORELINE — Second-seeded Shorewood beat No. 7 Arlington in the non-elimination opening round of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Shorewood advanced to face No. 4 Oak Harbor in the winner-to-state semifinals on Tuesday.

Arlington dropped to the consolation bracket and will face No. 3 Mountlake Terrace in a loser-out game on Tuesday.

2A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Bellingham 3, Cedarcrest 2

DUVALL — Third-seeded Cedarcrest lost to No. 6 Bellingham in the non-elimination opening round of the 2A District 1 Tournament.

Cedarcrest dropped into the consolation bracket and will host No. 7 Anacortes in a loser-out game on Tuesday.

Archbishop Murphy 4, Squalicum 0

EVERETT — Top-seeded Archbishop Murphy beat No. 8 Squalicum in the non-elimination opening round of the 2A District 1 Tournament.

Archbishop Murphy advanced to face No. 5 Lynden in the winner-to-state semifinals on Tuesday.

Grace Academy 3, Darrington 0

MOUNT VERNON — Fourth seeded Grace Academy beat No. 3 Darrington in the third/fourth-place match of the 1B District 1 Volleyball Tournament.

Darrington fell to No. 2 Orcas Island 3-2 and Grace Academy fell to No. 1 Mount Vernon Christian 3-0 in the semifinals.
