BASEBALL

District 1/2 4A (consolations)

Bothell 11, Glacier Peak 6

EVERETT — Wyatt Mickelberry tallied a home run, two runs and one RBI to help the seventh-seeded Cougars past the fifth-seeded Grizzlies in a district consolation game.

Teyton Hardeman and Sawyer Wickstrom each had two RBI and one run and Henry Crumbaugh two runs and one RBI for Bothell (15-10 overall). Drew Marino pitched 3 2/3 innings, striking out four batters.

Atticus Quist carded a home run of his own including a double, three runs and two RBI for Glacier Peak (12-11). Luke Doman had two RBI, and Khristian Prom pitched 2 1/3 innings with four strikeouts.

The Grizzlies face ninth-seeded Woodinville in a winner-to-state, loser-out consolation game at Bannerwood Park at 4 p.m. on May 11.

Kamiak 4, Glacier Peak 3 (9)

SNOHOMISH — Kamiak’s Scarlette Chapman hit a sacrifice fly to left field in the top of the ninth inning, which drove in Aliya Boonsripisal for the winning run in a league game against the Grizzlies.

Frances Famatiga, Allyson McNulty and Kylie McClure each tallied one run, and Synclair Mawudeku and Aliana Boulger pitched a combined nine innings, striking out three batters for Kamiak (15-4 overall, 3-4 league).

Maya Mesa had one RBI and one run and Emma Hirshorn and Samantha Nielsen one run apiece for Glacier Peak (11-8, 1-6). Mesa pitched nine innings with 11 strikeouts.

Northwest

Lakewood 6, Blaine 0

ARLINGTON — Katie Krueger and EmmaJoy Wise hit back-to-back home runs in the Cougars’ win against the Borderites on senior night.

Skylar Sobitz went 1-for-2 with one RBI and one single, Avalon Kummer 1-for-3 with a single and Maddy Holthaus had a double and two RBI for Lakewood (13-5 overall, 11-4 league).

Krueger pitched seven innings in a four-hit shutout, striking out 10 batters.

Blaine dropped to 13-6, 11-4.

Non-league

Granite Falls 9, Darrington 8

Mount Si 4, Glacier Peak 1

SNOHOMISH — Luke Smith’s penalty kick was the only goal the Grizzlies could score in their district consolation loss to the Wildcats.

Glacier Peak (11-4-2 overall) faces Lake Stevens in a winner-to-state, loser-out game at Glacier Peak High School at 2 p.m. on May 11.
