Prep stars of the night for Thursday, Dec. 12:

Jaxon Roberts, Cascade boys swim & dive

Roberts, a senior, won two individual events and helped the Bruins’ 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay teams to wins in a 88-80 dual-meet loss to Stanwood. Roberts won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstorke by over 10 seconds each with times of 56.36 seconds and 59.09 seconds, respectively.

Andrew Kallio, Marysville Pilchuck boys swim & dive

Kallio, a junior, broke the Tomahawks’ standing boys 6 dive meet record with a score of 289.85. The previous record was set in 1998.

Cort Roberson, Stanwood boys basketball

Roberson, a junior, poured in 26 points, including four 3-pointers, in the Spartans’ 67-38 non-league win over South Kitsap.

Amanda Lee, Shorecrest girls basketball

Lee, a senior, netted 21 points in the Scots’ 52-21 non-conference win over rival Shorewood.

Devin Leach, Shorewood boys wrestling

Leach, a senior, scored a pin in just 35 seconds in a 160-pound bout to secure a 36-35 dual-meet victory over Jackson. Leach also scored a pin in 1:04 in the Thunderbirds’ 72-6 dual-meet win over Cascade.

Christian Anderson, Lake Stevens boys wrestling

Anderson, a junior, pinned Stanwood’s Dustin Campbell in 3:03 to help the Vikings pull away in their 49-24 dual-meet victory over Stanwood. The win increased Lake Stevens lead from 25-21 to 31-21 after Stanwood had started to mount a comeback from an early deficit.

Ellie Jackson, Marysville Getchell

Jackson, a freshman, scored 16 points in the Chargers’ 48-40 win over Sehome.
