Alex Schmidt (Kamiak) drove in the Huskies’ first run with a sacrifice fly, and hit a one-out double and scored in the seventh inning as the UW evened the series with the Wildcats in Tucson.

Brandon Choate (Mountlake Terrace), entered the game in the seventh as the first reliever for starter Tyler Davis, and allowed a double to likely first-round draft pick Kevin Newman. He walked the next batter before exiting without recording an out.

Sam Triece (Meadowdale, Edmonds Community College) struck out the only batter he faced in relief of Cougars starter Joe Pistorese in a victory over the Ducks at Bailey-Brayton Field.
