Seahawks-Panthers inactives

Seahawks tight end Tony Moeaki, the team’s only injury question mark coming into the game, will not play tonight because of the calf injury he suffered earlier in the week. Safety Jeron Johnson, who had been ruled out earlier in the week because of an elbow injury, is the only other player inactive because of injury. Otherwise Seattle’s inactives are healthy scratches. Just-signed DT Landon Cohen won’t play, which isn’t a surprise considering he has one week of practice under his belt and didn’t play all season after being cut by Buffalo following training camp. Receiver Kevin Norwood, who started last week in a three-receiver set, is inactive. While Norwood is ahead of players like Ricardo Lockette, Chris Matthews and Bryan Walters in the receiver rotation, he doesn’t have a role on special teams like those players do, so with Jermaine Kearse back from a hamstring injury, Norwood is the odd man out.

As expected, the Seahawks have five players back this week who were out with injury for the regular-season finale: C Max Unger, Kearse, CB Tharold Simon, TE Cooper Helfet and DE Demarcus Dobbs.

For Carolina, outside linebacker A.J. Klein is out, something of a surprise, as he was expected to return from a three game absence (ankle) this week. Rookie Adarius Glanton will again start in Klein’s place. WR Philly Brown, who was questionable with a shoulder injury, will play.

Seahawks inactives: S Jeron Johnson, CB Marcus Burley, C Lemuel Jeanpierre, G Keavon Milton, DT Landon Cohen, WR Kevin Norwood, TE Tony Moeaki.

Panthers inactives: CB James Dockery, S Robert Lester, LB A.J. Klein, T David Foucault, G Amini Silatolu, DE Frank Alexander, DT Star Lotulelei.
