KENT — Reid Schaefer had two goals and two assists as the Seattle Thunderbirds routed the Everett Silvertips on Saturday night at ShoWare Center.
Seattle (20-9-4-0, 44 points) raced out to a 4-0 lead before Jackson Berezowski’s unassisted goal in the at the 17:42 mark of the third period helped Everett (25-7-2-2, 54) avoid a shutout.
Jared Davison, Henrik Rybinski and Sam Oremba each added goals for the Thunderbirds, who outshout the Silvertips 45 to 19.
Scott Ratzlaff stopped 18 of 19 shots to pick up the win in net for Seattle.
Branden Holt recorded 40 saves in 44 chances for Everett.
