The Athlete of the Week nominees for Nov. 10-16. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced with the next poll and in next Wednesday’s paper.

Olivia Taylor | Shorecrest soccer

The sophomore forward Olivia tallied two goals in a 4-1 winner-to-state, loser-out victory over Monroe on Nov. 7. Taylor won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Nov. 3-9 by claiming 329 (41.33%) of the 796 votes.

This week’s nominees

Addison Farman | Glacier Peak swimming and diving

The senior diver outpaced the field of 24 divers with a finals score of 407.40 to win her second straight Class 4A title in the 1-meter diving competition at the state championship meet on Nov. 14.

Sammy Holmer | Lynnwood volleyball

The senior outside hitter compiled 11 kills, 20 digs, 3 blocks and two aces in a 3A District 1 Tournament game against Ferndale on Nov. 12 and had another balanced performance with 13 kills and 15 digs against Stanwood on Nov. 14 as the Royals qualified for state.

Jayson Limar | Lake Stevens football

The senior running back posted 225 total yards — 23 carries for 130 yards and five catches for 95 yards — and five touchdowns in the Vikings’ comeback over Mead in a Nov. 16 Class 4A state playoff game.

Caleb Reed | Arlington football

The senior running back had 20 carries for 166 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-6 throttling of Graham-Kapowsin in a Class 4A state playoff game on Nov. 16.
