Could’ve Been Worse

UCLA started the game the same way Fresno State did last week, marching down the field with no problem. But the Husky defense got a little stiffer late and after being fairly quiet, the crowd got quite loud on the third-and-goal play. Chris Stevens absolutely unloaded on UCLA quarterback Ben Olson on that pass and Olson was a little slow to get up.
Also, freshman Donald Butler is playing in E.J. Savannah’s spot on the nickel defense. That’s something to pay attention to.
And Washington can’t continue to give up big returns on seemingly every kick.
