Unoccupied pleasure boat burns in the Port of Everett’s South Marina

EVERETT — A 24-foot boat in the Port of Everett’s South Marina erupted in flames just after noon Sunday, said Glen Martinsen, Everett assistant fire chief and fire marshal.

The pleasure boat was not occupied at the time of the fire, and crews quickly extinguished the flames, he said. No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
