Meadowdale grabs Wesco’s top 3A seed

LYNNWOOD — The Meadowdale girls basketball team rolled to another No. 1 seed heading into the 3A District 1 tournament Friday.
Meadowdale sprinted out to an 11-0 start to defeat Everett 67-39 at the Meadowdale gym.
Eryn Jones scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Mavericks.
Meadowdale faces Wesco No. 5 seed Lynnwood at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meadowdowdale. Everett, the Wesco’s No. 2 seed, hosts Northwest No. 3 seed Squalicum at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

He made the second of three free throws to earn the one-point Cascade Conference victory.
