LAKE STEVENS — Issac Molstre may have taken the day off from his best event, but that didn’t keep the Lake Stevens senior from dominating some others.
Molstre won two events and ran the anchor leg on two other winning relay teams as Lake Stevens won a non-league meet against Jackson and Lynnwood with 98 points Thursday.
Molstre won the 100-meter dash in 11.62 seconds and the 200 in 23.26. His best event is the 400, but his coaches wanted to give him a rest from that event because of an upcoming invitational.
“It’s a rare day when he runs the 100 and 200 without running the 400,” Lake Stevens coach Jeff Page said. “We wanted it to be an easy day for him, but he still made the most of it.”
In Molstre’s absence, teammate Joey Bywater took the 400 with a time of 53.40.
Lake Stevens also won the 110 hurdles, 1,600, 400, 300 hurdles, shot put and long jump.
