MARYSVILLE — Zach Stockwell did not lose a game en route to victory in his No. 1 singles match as he helped lead Snohomish to its 14th straight victory without a loss on Wednesday.

Stockwell defeated Kyle Hanks 6-0, 6-0, as the Panthers defeated Marysville-Pilchuck 6-1 in a Wesco North tennis match.

“Stockwell had an outstanding match today,” Snohomish head coach Dick Jansen said. “He was tremendously consistent … and he was able to put a lot of pressure on (Hanks).

“He was a complete player tonight for us and looked real good.”

Reed Pecha, Trevor Shields and Nichol Ratzke also won their singles matches for Snohomish (14-0 in league and overall).

“All of our singles guys came through today and we needed that,” Jansen said. “The kids are playing well.”

Jansen also praised the work of his No. 3 doubles team, twin brothers Chase and Jared Anderson, who have not dropped a match all year for Snohomish.

“They have just done a great job for us this year at that third doubles position,” the Snohomish coach said. “We can depend on them for a win each time.”

Marysville-Pilchuck’s No. 1 doubles team, Barry Jacobsen and Joseph Dyer, picked up the Tomahawks’ (9-5) lone victory, defeating Snohomish’s Peter Luangrath and Matt Scott 6-2. 6-4.
