MUKILTEO — Kamiak and Edmonds-Woodway both came into Tuesday’s Wesco South baseball game without a loss. Kamiak’s Andrew Groves made sure E-W would leave with one.
Groves threw a complete game, giving up just one hit and one walk, while striking out 12 and leading his team to a 6-0 victory.
Andrew Lauletta was 1-for-2 with two RBI and Seth Heck was 3-for-4 with a run scored for Kamiak.

Monroe 2, Snohomish 1: At Snohomish, Cody Hastings blasted a two-run home run in the sixth inning and Danny Griesmer (2-for-3) made a diving catch down the left field line in the bottom of the seventh to preserve Monroe’s Wesco North win. Snohomish head coach Kim Hammons said Hastings’ shot was around 400 feet. Monroe starter Jacob Reppert gave up three hits while striking out six.

Cedarcrest 3, King’s 1: At Duvall, Zack Brown assisted on goals by Dusty Felps and Ben Toler and Jeff Bieck scored an unassisted goal to give Cedarcrest (3-0 league, 3-1 overall) the Cascade Conference win. Cedarcrest’s Colin McHargue allowed one goal by King’s (1-2, 1-2) Brett Simmons.
Lakewood 4, Granite Falls 1: At Granite Falls, Granite Falls (0-2 league, 1-3 overall) jumped out to an early lead when Ryan Hillery scored an unassisted goal in the fifth minute, but it was all Lakewood from there on out. Evander Ochoa scored a pair of goals, the first in the 17th minute (Brian Star assist) and the second in the 22nd minute (unassisted). Joseph Hawkins followed up with a pair of his own, one in the 36th minute (Evander Ochoa assist) and the other in the 61st minute (Quinten Baldwin assist). James Hoback was in goal for Lakewood as was Ryan Murphy for Granite Falls.
Archbishop Murphy 1, Coupeville 0: At Everett, Erik Schmidt scored from close range in the 27th minute for Archbishop Murphy in a Cascade Conference match. Doug Ehlbracht earned the shutout in goal for the Wildcats (2-0 league, 3-1-0 overall). Evan Coleman was the goalkeeper for Coupeville (1-2, 1-2-0).
Glacier Peak 3, Mariner 0: At Snohomish, Riley McNamara, Shane Miller and Brian Holguin all found the net for Glacier Peak (2-3-0 overall) Jimmy Eschrich was the goalkeeper for Glacier Peak. The goalkeeper for Mariner (1-4-0) was not reported.
