Columbia springs are here

Yeah, it’s early, but Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist Joe Hymer said the first Columbia River spring chinook could be caught at any time.

A much higher percentage than usual of big, five-year kings are due back to the Willamette, Hymer said, and those fish tend to return early.
