SULTAN — Archbishop Murphy held off a late comeback by Sultan to clinch a Class 2A District 1 playoff berth. The Wildcats led 17-4 after one quarter only to see Sultan take a brief lead in the fourth before Zach Smith sank a 3-pointer and Paris Felder made clutch free throws to give Murphy the Cascade Conference win. Felder had 24 points, Smith scored 20 and Zach Gordon scored 13 for Murphy. Sam Hatton had 26 points, Theo VandenEkart scored 17 and Brock VandenEkart scored 16 for Sultan.
