Parker and Catchings are WNBA Players of the Week

Los Angeles forward/center Candace Parker and Indiana forward Tamika Catchings were named the Western Conference and Eastern Conference players of the week on Tuesday respectively.
Parker has led the Sparks to a 3-1 start in 2012 and led the Sparks with a 20.5 points per game average. She also averaged 7.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks.
Catchings has the Fever off to a 3-0 start. She has been stellar in her last two efforts, tallying 22 points, five assists, four steals, three rebounds and two blocks in a 83-72 road victory over Chicago and 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 78-62 victory over the Atlanta Dream.
