Woman dies of wounds from stabbing in Monroe

MONROE — A woman who was stabbed multiple times in Monroe on May 24 died Sunday afternoon at a Seattle hospital.

Jacoba Ramirez Rodriguez, 34, had been at Harborview Medical Center since the stabbing.

Her husband, Oscar Garcia-Pacheco, 32, is being held at Snohomish County Jail in connection with the case.

Ramirez Rodriguez had obtained a protection order against her husband but was attacked while attempting to give it to him, according to police reports.

The investigation is ongoing.
