The 2017 session of Washington’s Legislature begins Monday, Jan. 9, in Olympia. It is scheduled to last 105 days. However, the 147 lawmakers may need an extra session, or two, to complete a new state budget and solve the vexing problem of public school funding.
105 Days: In odd years, when a new two-year budget is adopted, the Legislature meets in Olympia for 105 days. In even years it is 60 days. Last scheduled day: April 23, 2017

The hotline enables callers to track the progress of bills and learn when hearings or legislative action are planned.
