CLASS 4A
No. 2 Gonzaga Prep (22-1) vs. No. 7 Glacier Peak (19-3)

Implications: winner to quarterfinals; loser to first round
Gonzaga Prep: 1st in Greater Spokane League 4A
About the Bullpups: Gonzaga Prep, which took third place at state last year, has limited opponents to a 4A-best 45.7 points per game and allowed more than 58 points just once all season. The Bullpups are led by 6-foot-7 sophomore Anton Watson.
Glacier Peak: 1st in Wesco 4A
About the Grizzlies: Glacier Peak is headed to regionals for the sixth time in the school’s nine-year history — although this will be the program’s first state appearance at the 4A level. The Grizzlies are yielding just 47.2 points per game, which ranks second-best in 4A behind Gonzaga Prep. Junior guard Bobby Martin (17 points per game) and senior guard Seiver Southard (14.5) lead Glacier Peak’s balanced offensive attack.
No. 12 Kamiak (18-7) vs. No. 13 Bellarmine Prep (16-9)
When: 6 p.m. Saturday
Where: Jackson H.S.
Implications: winner to first round; loser out
Kamiak: T-2nd in Wesco 4A
About the Knights: Kamiak rebounded from an overtime loss to Monroe in the district semifinals by winning three consecutive elimination games — including a winner-to-state rematch against the Bearcats — to advance to the state regionals for the second year in a row. Senior guards Carson Tuttle (22.2 points per game) and Christian Clausen (16.3) lead a high-scoring Knights offense that’s averaging 65.2 points per contest.
Bellarmine Prep: 2nd in South Puget Sound
About the Lions: Bellarmine Prep won eight of its final nine regular-season games before going 2-2 in the bi-district tournament and advancing to regionals for the fifth time in the last six years. The Lions are led by 6-foot-4 senior wing Joey Bodoia, who averaged 19.4 points per game in the regular season.
CLASS 3A
No. 2 Garfield (20-5) vs. No. 7 Stanwood (21-2)

Where: Bellevue College
Implications: Winner to quarterfinals; loser to first round
Garfield: 2nd in Metro
About the Bulldogs: Perennial power Garfield owns four consecutive top-three finishes at state, including back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015. University of Washington commits Jaylen Nowell and Daejon Davis — both senior guards are ranked on ESPN’s list of top 100 Class of 2017 recruits — lead a high-powered Bulldogs offense that averages 75.6 points per game and has scored at least 90 points six times. Three of Garfield’s five losses have come to unbeaten Nathan Hale, one of the top-ranked teams in the country.
Stanwood: 1st in Wesco 3A
About the Spartans: Stanwood, which will be making its fifth consecutive regional appearance, won 15 straight games before falling to Shorecrest in the district championship. Chase Strieby (17.2 points per game) and AJ Martinka (15.5), a pair of 6-foot-6 seniors, lead a balanced Spartans attack that’s averaging 76.6 points per game and has scored at least 80 points 10 times.
No. 10 Shorecrest (21-2) vs. No. 15 Edmonds-Woodway (18-5)
When: 4 p.m. Saturday
Where: Bothell H.S.
Implications: winner to first round; loser out
Shorecrest: T-2nd in Wesco 3A
About the Scots: Shorecrest has won 16 of its last 17 games, including a victory over Stanwood in the district championship that snapped the Spartans’ 15-game winning streak. The defending 2A state runner-up Scots are led by senior Malcolm Rosier-Butler (18.6 points per game) and juniors Phillip Pepple (15.5) and Chris Lee (11.8).
Edmonds-Woodway: T-2nd in Wesco 3A
About the Warriors: E-W rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit to edge Arlington in a loser-out district game and advance to regionals for the second consecutive year. Senior guard Keaton McKay averaged 19.6 points per game in the regular season to lead a Warriors team that’s scoring 71.6 points per contest. Edmonds-Woodway will be looking to avenge a 68-67 Wesco 3A loss to Shorecrest earlier this season and earn the program’s first trip to the Tacoma Dome since 2008.
CLASS 2A
No. 11 Clover Park (17-9) vs. No. 14 Mountlake Terrace (13-10)
When: 2 p.m. Saturday
Where: Mount Tahoma H.S.
Implications: Winner to first round; loser out
Clover Park: T-2nd in SPSL 2A Sound
About the Warriors: Clover Park bounced back from an opening-round district loss to Fife by winning a pair of loser-out games to advance to regionals. Junior guard Davien Harris-Williams is averaging more than 20 points per game for the Warriors, who have won nine of their last 10 contests.
Mountlake Terrace: 4th in Wesco 3A
About the Hawks: Mountlake Terrace, which will be making its sixth regional appearance in the last seven years, advanced to the bi-district title game before losing to state No. 2 seed Anacortes. Senior forward Sean Kirk led the Hawks with 18.5 points per game during conference play, followed by senior forward Brock Davis (15.5) and junior guard Khyree Armstead (13.1).
CLASS 1A
No. 4 King’s (20-5) vs. No. 5 Northwest (19-3)
When: 6 p.m. Saturday
Where: Mountlake Terrace H.S.
Implications: winner to quarterfinals; loser to first round
King’s: 1st in Cascade
About the Knights: The two-time defending 1A state champions have been playing since early January without senior standout and Gonzaga University commit Corey Kispert, who is out for the season with a foot injury. King’s rebounded from a district-semifinal loss to Lynden Christian by winning four consecutive loser-out games to earn their 11th state berth in a row. King’s, which has advanced to four consecutive state-title games, is limiting opponents to 47 points per contest.
Northwest: 1st in Emerald City
About Northwest: The Northwest School, making its first-ever state appearance, is allowing just 41.4 points per game. Northwest is coming off a loss to Lynden Christian in the bi-district title game.
CLASS 1B
No. 10 CPC-Mountlake Terrace (21-5) vs. No. 15 Odessa-Harrington (14-8)
When: 6 p.m. Friday
Where: Mountlake Terrace H.S.
Implications: Winner to first round; loser out
CPC-Mountlake Terrace: 1st in Northwest 1B
About the Lions: After falling to Neah Bay in its tri-district opener, Cedar Park Christian-Mountlake Terrace won two consecutive loser-out games to advance to regionals. The Lions are led by 6-foot-4 junior point guard Erwin Weary Jr., who scored 54 points in a victory earlier this season. CPC-Mountlake Terrace is limiting opponents to 38.1 points per game.
Odessa-Harrington: T-2nd in Northeast 1B South
About the Titans: Freshman guard Ryan Moffet is averaging 29.7 points per game for Odessa-Harrington, which is seeking its first state win since 2008.
