Celebrate Juneteenth
Come celebrate Juneteenth with the NAACP of Snohomish County, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sen. Henry M Jackson Park, 3302 18th St., Everett. This year’s event is a potluck. The NAACP will be grilling hot dogs; bring your favorite barbecue dish to share. Bring your favorite outdoor game if you like, too.
Organizers will register new voters, provide information about the NAACP and ALLIED, and encourage efforts to change to district voting within Everett’s city limits.

Bike Bash is Saturday
The Snohomish County Bike Bash is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Willis Tucker Park, 6705 Puget Park Drive, Snohomish.
This free, family-friendly event includes guided bike rides, a bike rodeo and races, local bike shops and resources, plus food, live music and prizes.

Tune into ham radio
Members of the Snohomish County Ham Club WA7LAW will participate in the national Amateur Radio Field Day exercise Saturday and Sunday at Harborview Park, 1621 W Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. The public is welcome.
Field Day demonstrates ham radio’s ability to work reliably under any conditions from almost any location and create an independent communication network that doesn’t rely on WiFi or a cellphone tower. More than 35,000 people from thousands of locations participated in Field Day in 2016.

Juggling storyteller comes to Mukilteo
Children and their families are invited to see Storytelling World Award-winner Chris Fascione tell funny stories while juggling, 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

Brush up on wilderness survival
Alderleaf Wilderness College offers a primer on “Wilderness Survival Essentials” at three libraries in the coming weeks:
1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Arlington Library, 135 N Washington Ave.
6 to 7:30 p.m. June 28 at the Monroe Library, 1070 Village Way
1-3 p.m. July 7 at the Lake Stevens Library, 1804 Main St.
Learn about shelter-building, water purification, fire-making, foraging and other skills that can keep you alive in an emergency and enhance your outdoors experience. Registration is required for the Lake Stevens event.
