VFW essay contest winners from Gold Bar

Students recently wrote essays on “What a veteran means to me” for an annual Veterans of Foreign Wars contest.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9417 awarded first-place winners from Gold Bar Elementary School and area home schools: Riley Knapp (third grade), Andy Cook (fourth grade), Stanley Shivley (fifth grade). The three now move on to district-level competition.
