Northbound I-5 at Smokey Point reopens after wreck

SMOKEY POINT — A collision on northbound I-5 just north of Highway 531 closed all lanes of traffic Sunday evening as travelers were returning home from the long Labor Day weekend.

By 7 p.m. the interstate had reopened, according to the state’s Department of Transporation.

Traffic had been rerouted through the Smokey Point rest area.
