EVERETT — Health-care workers nationwide took a knee Friday for 10 minutes to raise awareness for racial inequality and police accountability in an event organized by White Coats For Black Lives. Participants included employees of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, seen here. Providence employees in Mill Creek and Monroe also planned to participate.
The stated mission of White Coats For Black Lives is to eliminate racial bias in the practice of medicine and to encourage recognition of racism as a threat to the health and well-being of people of color.
