ARLINGTON — An Arlington woman died in a house fire Tuesday.

The woman, 68, lived alone in the 20400 block of 64th Drive NE, just across the street from the Arlington Cemetery. No other injuries have been reported.

The Arlington Fire Department was called to the home around noon Tuesday, city spokesperson Heather Logan said.

Five engines from different fire districts responded, including the Arlington Fire Department, Fire District 21 that serves rural Arlington, Fire District 19 from Silvana, North County Fire and the Marysville Fire District.

The single-story house was a complete loss. No damage has been reported from nearby houses, Logan said.

Firefighters were still working at the house around 2 p.m.

Inspectors with North County Fire and the Arlington Fire Department were expected to determine the cause of the fire, Logan said.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the deceased woman’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death.
