Man killed by hit-and-run driver near Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A man died Saturday night after a driver hit and killed him, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man, 48, was a pedestrian on Highway 99 near Highway 525. Then a driver hit him around 6:30 p.m. The pedestrian died at the scene.

His name was withheld until his next of kin could be notified.

Details about the suspect and the vehicle were not provided.

The Washington State Patrol was investigating.
