SMOKEY POINT — Rest areas in both directions of I-5 at Smokey Point are set to close for two weeks starting Monday.

The state has maintenance scheduled that will close access to the bathrooms, parking and recreational vehicle dumping stations.

They’ll close at 8 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Thursday, April 13.

The RV dumping stations are set to reopen later in April.

Travelers can use other rest areas at Bow Hill or SeaTac, or seek relief and rest elsewhere.
