Armed man’s threats in Marysville lead to big police response

MARYSVILLE — A man reportedly took a gun out and threatened to open fire Tuesday in Marysville, leading to a major law enforcement response, according to police.

Around noon, a man threatened to shoot someone he was having an argument with in the 5000 block of 83rd Avenue NE, according to the Marysville Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene with a police dog, a BearCat armored vehicle and drone to bring the man into custody, Marysville police officer TJ San Miguel said. The man didn’t have a gun on him when police arrived. A firearm was located along a nearby trail, according to police.

The man was arrested without further incident.
