Stanwood 65, Shorecrest 47

STANWOOD — The Spartans (5-0) pulled away from the Scots (3-4) after clinging to a one-point lead at the end of the first half. The winning effort was highlighted by senior Jazmyn Legg’s game-high 20 points. Shorecrest’s Cassie Chesnut (16 points) and Anna Usitalo (15 points) accounted for most of the team’s offense.

Monroe 66, Mariner 39

MONROE — A balanced performance helped the Bearcats (2-3) coast past the Marauders (1-4). Seniors Cascadia Yates (12 points) and Halle Keller (11 points) led the way for Monroe on a night where the Bearcats had six players score over six points. Mariner junior Jordan Johnson’s 27 points were a game-high.

Darrington 55, Cedar Park Christian (Lynnwood) 20

DARRINGTON — The Loggers (3-2) earned a comfortable win over the Eagles (0-4) thanks to an active defensive performance. Darrington sophomore Sophie Ross had 19 points, 12 rebounds and two steals, contributing on both ends. Senior Claire Wright seemed to be everywhere at once all night, recording a game-high six steals for Darrington.

Mountlake Terrace 58, Marysville Getchell 22

MARYSVILLE — Freshman Jaliyah Dyson’s 19 points highlighted the Hawks’ (4-1) big win over the Chargers (0-6). Marysville Getchell was led by senior Emma Kirkwood’s 12 points (four 3-pointers made).

North Creek 59, Marysville Pilchuck 17

MARYSVILLE — The Jaguars (3-3) won comfortably on the road against the Tomahawks (0-6). North Creek senior Seirat Bhullar had a game-high 17 points while Marysville Pilchuck was led by sophomore Rory Perez’s seven points.

Meadowdale 67, Everett 14

EVERETT — The Mavericks (2-1) played a complete game to earn a win over the Seagulls (2-5). Meadowdale junior Mia Brockmeyer scored a game-high 17 points while Everett junior Akira Shaw had a team-high seven points.

DARRINGTON — A powerful fourth quarter helped the Loggers (2-3) steal a game against the Eagles (0-6). Trailing 43-38 after three quarters, Darrington saved their best for last. The loggers scored 22 in the fourth quarter. Darrington sophomore Grady Stuvland starred with 19 points and four steals.

LYNDEN — The Lions (4-0, 3-0) earned a tough conference win over the Cougars (3-1, 2-1) after jumping out to a 10-point lead to end the first half. Lynden was paced by senior Brant Heppner (17 points) and sophomore Gordy Bedlington (15 points). Lakewood senior Nash Espe had a team-high 17 points in the loss.

EVERETT — The Seagulls (7-3, 7-2) earned a close win over the Borderites (3-4, 3-4). Everett was paced by Lexie Zabel (278 series) and Hannah Teubel (247 series). Blaine was led by Shaylie Daniels’ 248 series score.
