GIRLS BASKETBALL

Non-league

White River 65, Snohomish 60

LYNDEN — Leading by eight heading into the fourth, Snohomish looked to be on their way to a signature win over a solid White River team. But a 23-10 final period for the opposing Hornets (6-1) erased those chances, dropping the Panthers to 5-3 on the year. Snohomish senior Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles had a game-high 20 points to pair with junior Sienna Capelli’s 15. Three Hornets scored in double digits, as White River sophomore Malia Froemke scored a team-high 15 points on five 3s.

SNOHOMISH — The Grizzlies (5-4) dropped their third-straight game, losing to a Chiawana team (5-1) on a five-game winning streak. Senior Brynna Pukis continued her strong season with a game-high 22 points on four 3s for Glacier Peak. Senior Malia Ruud’s 19 points paced the Riverhawks.
