EVERETT — Police arrested a 35-year-old man Monday evening who allegedly posed as an HVAC maintenance technician during a Sunday armed robbery at a grocery store in south Everett.

Around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, police said the suspect reportedly showed the grip of a gun, demanded access to the store’s safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, according to a press release from the Everett Police Department.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect leaving in a vehicle. Using Flock Safety’s license plate reader system, police identified the vehicle and located the man around 9:30 p.m. Monday in Everett, the release said.

He was arrested without incident and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree robbery.

No injuries were reported. As of Tuesday, police had not recovered the stolen money.
