Shorewood 51, Redmond 0
SHORELINE — The Stormrays (1-0) routed the Mustangs at home to open the season, outgaining Redmond in yards 385-85. Shorewood scored 34 in the third quarter alone to put the game out of reach after a 17-0 first half. Stormrays quarterback Kyson Vanee threw three TDs as Finn Bachler caught two, while Lukas Wanke brought in one. Bachler also made an impact on special teams, housing a kick return from 93 yards out in that fast-paced third. Shorewood turned Redmond over four times as Kyson Castallano made five tackles and notched an interception. Jameson Sullivan also recorded a pick as Shorewood rolled to a shutout win.
Lake Stevens 31, Sumner 28
LAKE STEVENS — Lake Stevens junior Seth Price caught a go-ahead touchdown with a second remaining to cap an instant classic between the Vikings (1-0) and the Spartans.

Mountlake Terrace 45, Cascade 0
EVERETT — Mason Wilson jump-started the Terrace offense with two early rushing scores. He later threw a 10-yard touchdown to Jackson Wallis. Owen Bosell, Nate Brown and Cody Ekanayake also ran the ball in the end zone for TDs. Nathan Jauregui-Torrescano sacked Cascade in its own end zone for a safety to close out the scoring.
Cedarcrest 52, Marysville Getchell 6
MARYSVILLE — A 73-yard touchdown pass from Brody Olsen to Kaleb Christy gave the Chargers (0-1) their only points of the day in a blowout loss to the Red Wolves.
Bishop Blanchet 42, Monroe 20
MONROE — The Bears outclawed the Bearcats despite 223 passing yards and two touchdowns from Monroe quarterback Christian Britt. Jacob Jutte recorded 167 of those yards and a touchdown on nine catches. Myron Robinson Jr. carried the ball eight times for 83 yards, including a 71-yard touchdown run. Bearcats linebacker Romeo Smith finished with nine tackles.
Everett 28, Jackson 20
EVERETT — The Seagulls won their season opener over district rival Jackson in the season-opener for both teams. Tre Austin caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown for the Timberwolves, while William Pool (16 tackles) and Kevin Rivas (14) combined for 30 tackles. Individual statistics were not reported for Everett.

EDMONDS — Carmelo LaRocca and Nathan Schlack each scored two rushing touchdowns as the Warriors opened their season with a dominant victory.

EVERETT — Archbishop Murphy tight end caught three passes for 63 yards, including two of quarterback Evan Ruiz’s three touchdown passes as the Wildcats won the season-opener for both teams. Isaiah Smith led Murphy with 96 yards on just five carries. Andrew Lucas (two carries, 90 yards) had an 88-yard TD run. Henry Gabalis scored on the ground and caught the other TD pass from Ruiz (4-for-4, 127 yards), and Marcus Gaffney also got into the end zone. Cole Sievers returned a punt 44 yards for a touchdown, and linebacker Eli Leyba returned an interception for a TD.
For Lakewood, Drew Egger threw two touchdown passes, including an 80-yard TD to Malik Armstead.
