SNOHOMISH — Snohomish County will host its RainScaping Expo for residents to learn about rain gardens, rainwater collection, lawn alternatives and soil mulching from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Willis Tucker Park.

County staff and members of Washington State University’s Master Gardner program will hold demonstrations and workshops on topics such as permeable pavement options, transforming a lawn to a garden and how to improve soil for rain capture. Events will be put on in the park’s indoor activity center as well as outside on the stage.

Display booths in between the activity center and stage will have representatives and exhibits from the Washington Native Plant Society, Farmer Frog, Noxious Weed Busters, Snohomish Conservation District and more.
