Geologist finds human remains east of Tacoma

TACOMA — A geologist working in a ravine east of Tacoma Friday discovered human remains.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says it’s too soon to determine gender or age, but investigators are checking reports of missing people.

The News Tribune reports a search and rescue crew helped bring the body bag out of the ravine.
