Weddings aren’t only for June. December is a popular month to say “I do.”
The Camano Senior and Community Center offers a Joyous Occasions Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 606 Arrowhead Road on Camano Island.
A bridal fashion show is planned for 3 p.m. Vendors for all sorts of special events will be there.
Admission is $5. Three wedding gowns will be auctioned, valued at $800 each.
Children’s museum plans birthday bash
The Imagine Children’s Museum, at 1502 Wall St. in Everett, celebrates its first birthday on Sunday.
Mr. David and the Hip Kidz Dance Troupe will perform. There will be a cake and international birthday activities from noon to 4 p.m.
Admission is $6.
Firehouse plans an open house
Snohomish County Fire District 7 will have an open house from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 8010 180th St. SE in Snohomish. Activities will focus on preventing fires from candles.
The theme is “Use candles with care: When you go out, blow out.”
Ferry fares due to fall back Sunday
It will be cheaper to drive onto a state ferry on Sunday, when the peak season ends. Car and driver prices will go down 35 percent on some routes.
For example, a driver going to Bainbridge Island from Seattle will pay $10.60 instead of $13.30. Passenger fares, except for the San Juan Islands, will not change.
Parking fees for the Anacortes terminal parking area also will be dropped on Sunday.
