Greedy parents put children at risk

Regarding The Herald article about Marysville parents demanding a deputy at the high school: Why would any caring parent send their children to a school that was so dangerous that it needed police officers in the building? Are they so greedy and self-centered that they would endanger their children rather than move to a safe schools district or out the kids in private school or home school?

We moved out of Seattle because the Seattle schools became dangerous. It was a great inconvenience and extra expense but worth every cent. If we were starting over we would home teach all our kids.

Our last two graduated from Everett High five years ago and it was a fine school. They got a good education and there weren’t any cops patrolling the halls.
