The Everett Steelhead and Salmon Club will host a how-to kokanee fishing seminar this evening, aimed at participants in Saturday’s Lake Stevens Kokanee Derby. The event is free and open to the public. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the club’s meeting place, the Fireman’s Hall at 2411 Hewitt Ave. in Everett.

John Lynch, an expert on the Lake Stevens fishery, will be the presenter.

To reach the hall from northbound I-5, take the Pacific Ave./WA-529 exit 193 to city center west. Turn left onto Pacific Ave., right at Maple St., and left at Hewitt.

From southbound I-5, take the Everett Ave. exit 194, and follow the signs west. Turn right at Everett Ave., left at Maple St., and right at Hewitt.
