Cover up while fishing

When is fishing a crime?

Certainly when you need a license and didn’t buy one.

But it can also be a crime when you’re naked…and people see you.

The Associated Press reported that Dean H. Meginniss is accused of fishing in West Medical Lake in Spokane in the nude. He was charged with indecent exposure after a man fishing with his kids said Meginniss stood up in full view as they moved down the lake in their boat.

Sheriff’s deputies said they showed up to find Meginniss still unclothed.

When told to put on his clothes, he donned a pair of shorts and continued to fish, deputies said.

Deputies said they arrested Meginniss after a check of his name discovered he was wanted on a warrant for stalking.

The story didn’t say whether Meginniss was fly fishing or using conventional gear.
