At least 1 dead in Lake Stevens crash

LAKE STEVENS — At least one person was killed in a crash near Lake Stevens on Friday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Around 8:30 a.m., both directions on Highway 204 at Lundeen Parkway and Sunnyside Boulevard were blocked due to a fatal two-car collision, trooper Kelsey Harding wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. Lanes have since reopened.

Lake Stevens police were handling the investigation.

The department had not released any other details as of Friday morning.
