LAKE STEVENS — The Vikings (1-0) held off a Mavericks (1-1) comeback to win their opener. Meadowdale trailed 10-5 heading into the seventh and scored four runs before Lake Stevens came up with a game-sealing double play. Alyssa Anderson (3-for-4, run) brought in four runs for the Vikings while Emerson Cummins scored two runs. Freshman Lillian McCormick (2-for-3, 2 runs) finished with three RBI for Meadowdale while Zoe de Mello and Madison Mitchell each scored two runs.
Archbishop Murphy 14, Cascade 11
EVERETT — The Wildcats (1-1) outlasted the Bruins (1-3) in a shootout. Ari Dixon (2-for-4, run, RBI) doubled twice while Carly Madhavan and Amaya Hernandez each scored two runs for Archbishop Murphy. Sarah Fletcher (run, RBI) had the game’s only homer for the Wildcats in the win. Kodie Rasmussen (4-for-5) scored three runs and brought in two on a two-double night for Cascade.

SNOHOMISH — The Grizzlies (1-1) rode an eight-run fourth inning to a run-rule win against the Warriors (1-3). Isabel Garcia (4-for-4) scored twice and brought in three runs while Penelope Tosto (2-for-3, run) had a game-high four RBI on a 15-for-26 day for GP. Ellie Anderson (2-for-3, 2 runs, RBI) tripled twice for Edmonds-Woodway.

ARLINGTON — The Cougars (1-2 overall, 1-0 league) pitched a shutout for their first win of the season. MJ Morales pitched the whole way, allowing three hits and notching three strikeouts. Riley Pevny (3-for-4) led Lakewood’s offense, scoring three times. Morales (2-for-4, run) had a game-high two RBI while Avery Hite (2-for-3, 2 runs, RBI) tripled.
